In this post I’ll focus on vocabulary that I keep forgetting during a conversation.

There’s a bunch of words that I keep forgetting during my conversation classes. I want them to be a permanent part of my vocabulary. Why do I keep forgetting them? Ya basta…

Vocabulary

Mostly common words or words (eg hoja de cálculo) that I tend to use a lot.

I haven’t finished reviewing all of my notes…but this is a good start. I’ll add more later.

Of particular note is the difference between sensato/a and sensible. I confuse them constantly!

  • sensato/a {adj: sensible/reasonable: ella es sensata}
  • sensible {adj: sensitive: no seas muy dura con él; es muy sensible}

Now I see why I’ve been confusing them: sensible is not sensible, it’s sensitive! Sensible is sensato/a!

When reviewing my conversation notes my mind often wanders back to the conversation. Listening to podcasts is also a great way to learn but conversations include listening & speaking and there’s a personal connection!
